Herman Miller, an American company that produces office furniture, equipment, and home furnishings, completed the acquisition of Knoll, an American design firm that produces office systems, seating, files and storage, tables and desks, textiles, and accessories, from Investindustrial, a European investment group for $1.8bn. "This combination validates the strategic direction and our success in building a preeminent constellation of design-driven brands and leaders, and is a testament to the achievements of the entire Knoll team in bringing a contemporary perspective to how we work and live," Andrew Cogan, Knoll Chairman and CEO. On July 13, 2021, Herman Miller and Knoll shareholders approved their $1.8bn deal.
