Axian Group, a pan-African group, agreed to acquire the Tanzania operations of Millicom International Cellular, an international telecommunications and media company. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Millicom is pleased to have found a strategic investor such as Axian who is committed to furthering MIC Tanzania’s and Zantel’s long-term commitment to provide accessible, affordable and innovative services to the people of the United Republic of Tanzania," Millicom.
