CITIC, Matrix and Hopu led a $135m Series D round in NextData.

CITIC Private Equity Funds Management, Matrix Partners China and private equity firms Hopu Investment Management led a $135m Series D round in NextData. Existing backers Tencent and Xiang He Capital made follow-on investments. NextData has also been backed by Chinese searching engine giant Baidu’s investment arm Baidu Ventures, Crystal Stream and internet security services provider 360 Total Security. NextData will use the proceeds for the development of technology and intelligent applications.
