Repsol and Enerkem Spain Holdings to acquire a 39% stake in the share capital of Ecoplanta Molecular Recycling Solutions for €300m.

Synopsis

Repsol, the largest Spain-based oil and gas company, and Enerkem Spain Holdings, a Montreal-based cleantech company, agreed to acquire a 39% stake in the share capital of Ecoplanta Molecular Recycling Solutions, a company that was jointly owned by Suez Recycling and Recovery Spain, and by Enerkem Spain Holdings, for €300m ($363m). "We are very pleased to join forces with relevant waste management and innovative technology partners, showing our commitment to circular economy and reinforcing our commitment to recycle 20% of our polyolefins production by 2030," Jose Luis Bernal, Repsol Executive Director of Chemistry.
