TransGourmet Holding to acquire General Markets Food Iberica from Bright Food Group for £174m..

TransGourmet Holding, a distributor togastronomy, HoReCa and mass catering points, agreed to acquire General Markets Food Iberica, a Spanish wholseslare offering products ranging from food and fresh produce to wines, bar supplies and houseware, from Bright Food Group, a multinational food and beverages manufacturing company, for £174m. With this transaction, Transgourmet will enter the Spanish market, one of the largest gastronomy markets in Europe. The acquisition will expand Transgourmet’s position as one of the market leaders in the European wholesale supplies and cash & carry market.
