Idemitsu Kosan, a petrochemical product segment manufacturer and seller od petrochemical products, agreed to acquire the remaining 30.3% stake in SDS Biotech, a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the research, development, manufacture and sale of agricultural chemicals, for $31m. The shareholders of Idemitsu Kosan will also be able to benefit from future synergies by developing business together with the Companies as a whole, without having to dilute their holding shares; thus, it is considered to be advantageous.
