Green Dot to acquire the tax refund business of Republic Bank for $165m.

Green Dot, a financial technology, agreed to acquire the tax refund business of Republic Bank & Trust Company, a bak holding company, for $165m. “TRS’s long-term contributions to our success have been tremendous and we believe there continues to be a bright future for the tax business.
