TPG-backed Matrix Renewables completed the acquisition of the Spain and Portugal portfolio of photovoltaic projects of Alten Renewable Energy.

TPG-backed Matrix Renewables, a global renewable energy platform, completed its acquisition of the Spain and Portugal portfolio of photovoltaic projects of Alten Renewable Energy, an independent power producer focused on photovoltaic solar energy. Financial terms were not disclosed. “These agreements will allow Matrix to become a relevant renewable energy platform in the Iberian Peninsula. We are confident that it will boost our presence in Spain and Portugal, and we will continue to further explore additional opportunities in Europe, Latin America and the US in our quest to expand, globally," Iñigo Asensio, Matrix Renewables Head of M&A.
