Datasite to acquire Firmex from Vertu Capital and BDC Capital.

Datasite, a technology provider for global M&A professionals, agreed to acquire Firmex, a virtual data room and subscription file-sharing provider based in Toronto, from Vertu Capital, a private equity firm, and BDC Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Datasite’s investment will help us further expand our growing subscription-based business within the lower middle-market, as well as pursue new opportunities. We look forward to delivering even more value to our customers and enhancing Datasite’s meaningful presence in Canada," Joel Lessem, Firmex CEO.
