Amazon and D1 Capital led a $2.5bn funding round in Rivian.

Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund and D1Capital, an investment firm, led a $2.5bn funding round in Rivian, an electric vehicle automaker and automotive technology company. Additional investors include Fidelity Management and Research, Coatue, Dragoneer Investment Group and Third Point. “As we near the start of vehicle production, it’s vital that we keep looking forward and pushing through to Rivian’s next phase of growth. This infusion of funds from trusted partners allows Rivian to scale new vehicle programs, expand our domestic facility footprint, and fuel international product roll-out,” RJ Scaringe, Rivian CEO.
