Topicus and Vela Software to acquire GeoSoftware business from CGG.

Topicus, a vertical market software and vertical market platforms provider to clients in public and private sector markets and a subsidiary of Total Specific Solutions, and Vela Software, software solutions provider to a number of vertical industries with broad and deep market knowledge in the Energy and Resources software, agreed to acquire GeoSoftware business from CGG, a global geoscience technology company. Financial terms are not disclosed. The Geosoftware business will be owned jointly by Topicus and Vela, with Topicus owning 60% and Vela 40%. "We are excited to welcome Geosoftware and its employees, for the long term, into our portfolio,” Han Knooren, TSS operating group within Topicus CEO.
