Coca-Cola İçecek, an anchor bottler and a part of the Coca-Cola System, agreed to acquire a 57.118% stake in Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan, a joint venture between the Uzbek state and the Coca-Cola Company established in 1993, from The State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan for $252m. The transaction is anticipated to be immediately accretive to CCI’s consolidated profitability from closing of the transaction, which remains subject to government and regulatory approvals.
