Synopsis
Rieter, a supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning, agreed to acquire Schlafhorst, an automatic winder business, Accotex, a provider of elastomer components for spinning machines, and Temco, a provider of bearing solutions for filament machines, from Saurer, a global technology company, for $347m. In connection with the transaction, it is envisaged that Rieter will supply automatic winders to Saurer in the future.
