Private equity firms Silver Lake and Insight Partners led a $350m Series A funding round in Fanatics, a provider of sports merchandise. Endeavor also participated. News of the early funding round comes after reports emerged last month that Fanatics had struck deals to design, manufacture and distribute trading cards for several sports properties, including Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association, as well as the two leagues’ players unions, in addition to the National Football League Players Association.
