Synopsis

Macquarie, a multinational independent investment bank, agreed to acquire a 49% stake in HEDNO, a power grid operator, from Public Power, a power utility company, for $2.44bn. "The transition to net zero emissions is reshaping how electricity is produced, transported, and used across the Greek economy. Significant investment in electricity distribution infrastructure is needed to facilitate this rapid change," Martin Bradley, Macquarie Senior Managing Director.
