Synopsis
CVC Capital Partners, a private equity firm, failed to acquire Intertrust, a financial services provider, for $1.9bn. "In accordance with their fiduciary duties, the management board and the supervisory board of Intertrust are, together with their financial and legal advisors, in the process of carefully reviewing and evaluating all aspects of the proposed transaction. In doing so, the boards will take into account the interests of Intertrust and all its stakeholders, including its shareholders, employees and clients," Intertrust. On November 22, 2021, Intertrust said it had received multiple takeover offers. On December 1, 2021, CVC announces that it is no longer in discussions with Intertrust about a potential public offer.
