Private equity firms Hellman & Friedman and Bain Capital completed the acquisition of athenahealth, a provider of cloud-based enterprise software solutions for medical groups and health systems nationwide, from Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital, two investment firms, for $17bn. GIC and ADIA also participated as bidders.
