Australian Utilities Trust to acquire a 33% stake in ElectraNet from YTL Power for $729m.

Australian Utilities Trust, an open-ended core infrastructure fund, agreed to acquire a 33% stake in ElectraNet, an electricity transmission company in South Australia, from YTL Power, an independent power producer, for $729m. YTL Power group managing director Yeoh Seok Hong said the transaction presented his company with the opportunity to realise gains from a mature investment.
