Synopsis
Fifth Wall, a venture capital firm focused on the global real estate industry and Wellington Management, a private, independent investment management firm, led a $90m Series B round in Span.io, a company which develops residential energy storage devices that provide renewable electricity and charging services for electric vehicles, with participation from Angeleno Group, FootPrint Coalition, Obsidian Investment Partners, and A/O PropTech. "Electrification is critical for addressing climate change, but the increased demand on a home’s electrical supply can require expensive upgrades. We’re excited about the potential for SPAN’s products to allow better utilization of existing electrical systems while also adding valuable functionality like circuit-level monitoring and control, and we look forward to partnering with SPAN,” Greg Wasserman, Wellington Management Head of Climate Innovation Investing.
