Sequoia Capital China, a venture capital firm, and Angelica Cheung, a venture partner, led a Series Funding round in Destree, an operator of fashion accessories platform intended for women, with participation from Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Alba, Gisele Bündchen, Emily Weiss, Amy Griffin, Carmen Busquets, and Gabriela Hearst. The round will be used to hire additional talent, increase digital-native marketing and support retail expansion in Paris, New York, China and Japan, including opening brick-and-mortar boutiques, the company said. The brand is currently distributed in more than 80 locations worldwide, including Saks Fifth Avenue. “We are thankful for and honored by our female-only financing round.
