Hydro Rein, a provider of renewable energy solutions,, Atlas Renewable Energy, an operator of a renewable energy platform, and Albras, a producer of primary aluminum, agreed to form a joint venture to develop, build and operate the Boa Sorte solar plant in a $320m deal. The Albras primary aluminum plant is located in the Brazilian state of Pará and is a joint venture between Hydro and NAAC. Albras is the largest producer of primary aluminum in Brazil with an annual production capacity of 460k tonnes.
