Hapag-Lloyd, Middle East Logistics & Consultants and Ship & CREW to form a Damietta Alliance.

Hapag-Lloyd, a global liner shipping company, Middle East Logistics & Consultants, a provider of shipping and logistics services, and Ship & CREW, a firm that load and unload cargo, agreed to form a Damietta Alliance, a joint venture developing and operating a new container terminal in Damietta, Egypt. Financial terms were not disclosed. “With the new terminal Hapag-Lloyd will significantly improve its transshipment operation in the East Mediterranean market as well as access to the local Egyptian trade," said Rolf Habben Jansen, Hapag-Lloyd CEO.
