Shinagawa Refractories, a firm that engages in the manufacture and sale of refractories, design, and construction, agreed to acquire the ceramics business and refractories business from Saint-Gobain, a manufacturer of glass and building products, for $74m. The acquisition represents a unique opportunity for Shinagawa to establish a leading position in the growing Brazilian refractories market.
