JERA, a firm focused on development of new energy upstream investments, completed the acquisition of a 1.63 GW thermal power plants from Stonepeak, a North America-focused private equity firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The transition to net zero CO2 emissions energy is a multi-step process demanding emission reductions on many fronts with several different technologies.
