Earlybird Venture Capital, a venture capital investor focused on European technology companies, led a $48m Series A round in Gourmey, France's pioneering cultivated meat company, with participation from Keen Venture Partners, Omnes Capital, Discovery, Thia Ventures, Fidji Simo, Heartcore Capital, Point Nine Capital, Air Street Capital, Partech and Beyond Investing. With this funding round, the startup wants to move from research and development to commercialization.
