Dr.Max Group to acquire Romanian pharmacy chain and distribution unit of Gedeon Richter.

Dr.Max Group, a Central European private label manufacturer developing the full range of pharmaceutical products for Dr.Max Pharmacy chain, agreed to acquire Romanian pharmacy chain and distribution unit of Gedeon Richter, a Hungarian multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “With the acquisition of Gedeon Richter’s retail and distribution operations in Romania, Dr.Max further reinforces its leading position as an omnichannel retail pharma provider in Romania.
