Microsoft completed the acquisition of a minority stake in stock exchange and financial information company London Stock Exchange Group from Blackstone and Thomson Reuters, a media conglomerate. Financial terms were not disclosed. Thomson Reuters plans to use the approximately $1bn of gross proceeds from the transaction to pursue organic and inorganic opportunities in key growth segments and provide returns to shareholders. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary antitrust and regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2023.
