Glencore Canada to acquire Noranda Income Fund for $39m.

Glencore Canada, a multinational commodity trading and mining company, agreed to acquire Noranda Income Fund, an open-ended trust, for $39m. “The Transaction provides unitholders an opportunity to realize an immediate and attractive premium for their units and is unanimously recommended by the Independent Committee of the Fund’s Board,” Anthony Lloyd, Noranda Income Fund Chair of the Board and member of the Independent Committee.
