Investment firm KKR & Co agreed to acquire the fixed-line network management and infrastructure perimeter of Telecom Italia, an Italian telecommunications company with headquarters in Rome, Milan, and Naples, for €18.8bn. The board of Telecom Italia also considered an offer from Macquarie and CDP Equity. On March 8, 2024; Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has entered into an agreement to join KKR for the acquisition of NetCo. CPPIB has committed to acquire a 17.5% interest in NetCo for up to €2bn, as part of a transaction which values the business at an enterprise value of approximately €18.8bn.
