San Cristobal Mining completed the acquisition of Minera San Cristóbal from Sumitomo.

Synopsis

San Cristobal Mining, an open-pit mining operation company, completed the acquisition of Minera San Cristóbal, a Bolivian mining company, from Sumitomo, a business services company that works with import, export, trilateral trade, and business investment in Japan. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Minera San Cristóbal was an attractive acquisition target for SCM given its substantial production profile and healthy mine life, but the potential for organic growth through the large silver oxide project and exceptional discovery potential, made this acquisition even more compelling. The Company plans to aggressively advance these growth opportunities as well as pursue additional opportunities in Bolivia to establish the Company as a premier silver producer. Bolivia is an attractive mining jurisdiction and we are delighted to become the foremost operating mining company in the country,” Quinton Hennigh, San Cristobal Mining President and Director.
