Silver Lake-backed Diamond Baseball to acquire Lansing Lugnuts from Take Me Out to the Ballgame.

Silver Lake-backed Diamond Baseball, an organization that owns and operates select minor league clubs affiliated with Major League Baseball, agreed to acquire Lansing Lugnuts, a Minor League Baseball team, from Take Me Out to the Ballgame, a company that promote professional and semiprofessional athletic clubs and events. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The Lugnuts have been one of the great joys in my life. It is a bittersweet decision to sell the team. But I can promise you that DBH’s Peter Freund and Pat Battle are terrific people who love baseball, and I am confident that the Lugnuts and the City of Lansing are in good hands with them,” Tom Dickson, TMO Managing Partner.
