Photonis to acquire ProxiVision.

Photonis, a producer of electro-optical detection and imaging devices for defense and industrial markets, agreed to acquire ProxiVision, a supplier and service provider for high-grade optoelectronic components and detector systems, especially for low-light and short-gating intensified cameras, image intensifiers and detectors for x-rays, UV, visible light, NIR, particles. Financial terms were not disclosed. “With this acquisition, we strengthen our positioning in ultra-violet and solar blind imaging devices with strong expertise and manufacturing capabilities. It is also a very nice opportunity to increase our footprint in Germany in which we have key customers and significant background,” Jérôme Cerisier, Photonis CEO.
