Synopsis
EMS, a pharmaceutical laboratory, to acquire Dermacyd, a global brand of intimate soap, from Sanofi, a pharmaceutical and healthcare company, for €66m. "The company remains attentive to market opportunities, evaluating possible new acquisitions as part of the strategy to grow with profitability and gain more presence, relevance and competitiveness in the OTC segment, inside and outside Brazil. With this line of intimate soaps, which has an established brand and great penetration in the countries in which it is marketed, we also want to show a new moment of EMS, which is really committed to working its non-prescription products in a very expressive way," Marcus Sanchez, EMS Vice President.
