Northland Power completed the acquisition of Oneida Energy Storage Project for $500m.

Northland Power, a power producer dedicated to helping the clean energy transition by producing electricity from clean, renewable resources, completed the acquisition of Oneida Energy Storage Project, a 250 MW / 1k MWh battery storage facility located in Haldimand County, for $500m. “The Oneida Energy Storage Project is a milestone for Ontario’s burgeoning energy storage sector. For Northland, this project marks our first storage investment. As trusted and experienced operators in Canada, the opportunity to construct and operate Canada’s largest battery energy storage project holds special significance,” Mike Crawley, Northland Power President and CEO.
