Synopsis

Edit

Brookfield India REIT, an India-based institutionally managed real estate investment trust, and GIC, a Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, agreed to acquire two commercial assets from Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager, for $1.4bn. “We are pleased to partner Brookfield India REIT as Brookfield is a leading market player with a strong track record in India. In addition, this marks our first joint venture with a public REIT in India and will allow us to scale up our investments through this avenue. We look forward to adding value to the assets, which are well-located within key gateway cities,” Goh Chin Kiong, GIC Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Real Estate.
