SMBC Bank of Japan, a Japanese multinational banking and financial services institution, ICG, an asset management and private equity firm, and AIIB, a multilateral development bank and international financial institution, completed the $250m investment in Amp Energy India, a Renewable Energy IPP company. Financial terms were not disclosed. "This is the first direct equity investment of AIIB into a renewable IPP. Our financing will also help the company attract long-term private capital in support of accelerating its business plan," Rajat Misra, AIIB Director of General-Infrastructure Investment Department.
