Canal+ Group, a provider of premium-content and themed networks as well as bundled and distributed pay-TV offerings, agreed to acquire a 26.1% stake in Viu, a video streaming subscription service, from PCCW for $300m. "I am extremely happy to announce this partnershipwith PCCW. CANAL+ already has leading market positions in Europe and Africa. We are now looking forward to developing Asia as an additional growth engine for the group. Our investment in Viu is a major step towards achieving this goal.
