abrdn Smaller Companies, an investment trust, completed the merger with Shires Income, an investment company, in a £35m deal. “We are pleased to see a successful combination of ASCI and Shires, and we believe this will deliver significant benefits for the combined entity and its shareholders," Robert Talbut, Shires Chairman.
