Synopsis
Ersel-backed Equiter Infrastructure II, a private equity fund, agreed to invest in Fibraweb, a national telecommunications operator. Financial terms were not disclosed. "In light of continuous technological progress, which is accompanied by the need to transmit enormous quantities of data at ever-increasing speeds, bridging the digital divide is of fundamental importance to allow the Italian entrepreneurial fabric to continue to grow and remain competitive in a digitalized world. The Fund will contribute significantly to this effort through the investment in Fibraweb, whose mission is to offer companies, in compliance with the principles of environmental sustainability (for example, favoring non-invasive excavation techniques and the reuse of existing cable ducts in the laying of fiber optic), a reliable, high-speed internet connection," Equiter Infrastructure II.
