Vista to acquire a 61% stake in Oragroup from ECP, BIO, DEG, Proparco and Envol Afrique.

Synopsis

Vista, a software company, agreed to acquire a 61% stake in Oragroup, a bank, from Emerging Capital Partners, a private equity firm, Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries, a private equity firm, German Investment, a finance company, Proparco, a development finance institution, and Envol Afrique, a strategic management services company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The acquisition of Oragroup is a significant milestone in our growth strategy to become a pan-African financial services group with operations in 25 countries and be a catalyst of economic development. Vista is now well positioned to support the development plan, trade and infrastructure investment of three fast growing major economic zones, the WAMZ, the WAEMU and the CEMAC,” Simon Tiemtore, Vista Chairman.
