Lazard Sustainable Private Infrastructure Fund completed the acquisition of a stake in Shawton Energy from Iona Capital.

Lazard Sustainable Private Infrastructure Fund, a fund managed by Lazard Asset Management, completed the acquisition of a stake in Shawton Energy, a developer and owner of rooftop solar photovoltaics projects for commercial and industrial companies across the UK from Iona Capital, a fund management institution. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We see tremendous potential in distributed, local and behind-the-meter renewable energy generation, such as anaerobic digestion, rooftop solar, and small-scale hydro. These technologies empower businesses to optimize their energy costs and carbon footprint while providing stable, diversified, and uncorrelated cash flows for investors," Robert Wall, Lazard Sustainable Private Infrastructure Fund Head.
