Synopsis

Essential Utilities, a publicly traded water, wastewater and natural gas provider in the US, agreed to acquire Greenville Water System, a public water utility that primarily focuses on providing safe, pristine drinking water to the people within the region, for $18m. “We have a long-established working relationship with the Greenville Water Authority, as well as the expertise and technical resources to manage the system’s future needs. We look forward to expanding in the region and providing clean, safe, reliable water and wastewater services to the residents of Greenville and surrounding communities,” Chris Franklin, Essential Chairman and CEO.
