Kinder Morgan completed the acquisition of the Texas natural gas pipeline portfolio of NextEra Energy Partners for $1.8bn.

Kinder Morgan, an oil and gas pipelines and terminals operator, completed the acquisition of the Texas natural gas pipeline portfolio of NextEra Energy Partners, an American energy company, for $1.8bn. "This agreement is an important next step in NextEra Energy Partners' transition plans. Upon closing, the proceeds would be sufficient to pay off the outstanding project-related debt and address the equity buyouts of the STX Midstream and NEP Renewables II convertible equity portfolio financings," John Ketchum, NextEra Energy Partners Chairman and CEO.
