Abry Partners, a private equity investment firm that focuses on media, communications, business, and information service sectors, completed the acquisition of Chambers and Partners, a provider of legal rankings and publisher of a legal directory, from Inflexion Private Equity, a mid-market private equity firm, for £400m. “The sector is one we’ve tracked for some time as heightened regulatory scrutiny and complexity have led to growing demand for efficiency and thus outsourcing in legal spend,” David Whileman, Inflexion Partner and Head of Partnership Capital.
