Space Norway to acquire Telenor Satellite from Telenor Group for $218m.

Space Norway, a company contributing to the development and operation of space-related infrastructure, agreed to acquire Telenor Satellite, a satellite operator that covers the European, Middle East and North African market, from Telenor Group, a Norwegian majority state-owned multinational telecommunications company, for $218m. “Satellite-based capabilities are more important than ever. The combination of Space Norway’s partly governmental customers and Telenor Satellite’s commercial customer base will give the new company a strong platform to grow the business in both sectors.
