Miele, a German manufacturer of high-end domestic appliances and commercial equipment, and Metall Zug, a Swiss industrial holding company, agreed to form a joint venture in the fields of infection control and life sciences. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The Professional business unit is already very important to Miele. With this joint venture, we will be strengthening our strategic position as a global premium provider in the field of medical and pharmaceutical technology and will be creating additional opportunities for growth, particularly in North America and Asia," Axel Kniehl, Miele Group Executive Director Marketing & Sales.
