Brookfield Asset Management, a private equity firm, agreed to acquire the Indian operations of American Tower, an American real estate investment trust which owns and operates wireless and broadcast communications infrastructure, for $2.5bn. “We look forward to expanding and enhancing our existing telecom tower portfolio in India, which enables a broader array of solutions for our customers and partners.
