Aqualia, a Madrid-based water management company, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Municipal District Services, a provider of water, wastewater and stormwater services. Financial terms were not disclosed. MDS' “family company” culture rooted in service and focused on the customer aligns perfectly with Aqualia's culture of people-centered public service. With this acquisition, Aqualia will take on the development of this business with an aim of becoming one of the leading operators in the southern United States.
