IBM to acquire the application modernization capabilities of Advanced Computer Software Group.

IBM, an American multinational technology company, agreed to acquire the application modernization capabilities of Advanced Computer Software Group, one of the UK's largest providers of business software and services. Financial terms were not disclosed. The news marks IBM’s first acquisition announced in 2024. Since Arvind Krishna became CEO in April 2020, IBM has acquired more than 35 companies, bolstering its hybrid cloud and AI capabilities.
