BWP Trust to merge with Newmark Property REIT in a $517m deal.

BWP Trust, a commercial real estate investment firm, agreed to merge with Newmark Property REIT, an Australian REIT, in a $517m deal. “The merger proposal demonstrates the trust’s ability to leverage its capital structure and disciplined focus on portfolio growth, consistent with our objective of providing unitholders with a secure and growing income stream and long-term capital growth,” Mark Scatena, BWP Trust Managing Director.
